• Live on your own website: one line of code puts a card on your site that counts down to your next night and shows the join code when the doors open. Another puts your big screen on your own page, live as it happens, with a full screen button. It is not a video, so it costs nothing to watch. It works in WordPress, Wix, Squarespace and Shopify.
• Your look, down to the CSS: theme packs for the season, then your own colours, fonts and logo. Write your own CSS for your website card, and for your quiz themes on a paid plan. Every part of the card is named in the guide.

Teams and scoring

On JoltQuiz a team shares a four-letter code and everyone plays on their own phone. Choose whether the first answer from the table stands, or only the captain answers and can change it while the clock runs. Scoring is a point per right answer by default, with speed scoring, closest-wins and double-points rounds when you want them: four scoring modes in all.

Message and break slides cover the raffle or the bar, and players can chat between questions, paused while a question is open.

When KwizzBit is the better choice

KwizzBit's library is bigger - more than 1,000 quizzes, with new ones each week - and its Pro plan has music rounds. JoltQuiz has no audio-only question: play a music round as video clips with the sound up. For a single audience in the tens of thousands, KwizzBit's Enterprise plan goes far past JoltQuiz's 1,000 players.
