Pub quiz software that runs from your phone
No answer sheets to collect, no marking at the bar, no arguments about the scores. Teams play on their phones, the scores add themselves up, and the big screen keeps the whole room watching.
Before the night
Write your quiz as a spreadsheet - one row per question - and upload it. The importer checks every row and tells you in plain English what to fix before anything is saved. Not a fan of spreadsheets? The CSV guide includes a prompt you can paste into ChatGPT to write a whole quiz in the right format.
There are seven question types: multiple choice, true or false, emoji, picture, free text, numbers and put-in-order. Free text can forgive a typo when you want it to.
On the night
Put the big-screen view on your TV or projector. It shows a giant QR code and join code, and team names pop up as people arrive. Teams share a four-letter code, so one phone answers for the table while everyone else confers.
You run it all from your phone: next question, lock, reveal, leaderboard, pause for the bar. Answers are timed by the server, so nobody can claim they buzzed first.
Between the rounds
Six mini games break the night up: Ten Seconds, Green Light, Hold Your Nerve, Pass the Bomb, Tug of War and Buzzers. Drop one in for the whole room at once, or as a head to head.
Themes change the look - pub classic, Halloween, Christmas and more - or describe the look you want and have one generated. They change everything you can see and nothing you can play.
Fill the room
Put your next quiz night on your pub's own website with one line of code: a card showing the date, a countdown, and a Join button once the doors open, in your own colours and logo. See the website card guide.
What it costs
Your first quiz is free, for up to 20 players, with no card needed. After that, Standard is £22.99 a month for up to 75 players a quiz, and Quiz Master is £49.99 a month for up to 1,000. Both are monthly and you can cancel any time.
Questions
How do teams play?
A team shares a four-letter code. One phone answers for the table, and you can mix teams and solo players in the same quiz.
How many teams can play?
Standard takes 75 phones a quiz, which suits most pubs. Only the phones that join count, so a team answering on one phone is one.
Do we need the big screen?
It makes the night, but it is not required: every question and answer is on the players' phones.
