Auto host used to stop at a mini-game and wait. Now it runs whole-room mini-games itself - the rules, everyone in, GO, the result - and carries on with the quiz. Buzzers, Tug of War and head-to-head games need you to run them, so they are not available while Auto host is on.
The new Host on your site tab puts a quiz night, a games night (mini-games and Bingo, no quiz) or a Bingo night on your website card. A Bingo night opens ready for Bingo: press Start and the Bingo box comes up. Bingo comes with Quiz Master.
Name a prize for 1st, 2nd and 3rd under Host on your site - all three, one, or none. They show on your website card, on the big screen while people join, and next to the winners at the end.
Tick "Free to play" under Host on your site and your website card and big screen say so.
This list. Every update to JoltQuiz, and every new quiz in the library, is written up here.
Running a quiz online? Pick Buzzers, then Online: push-to-talk. Whoever buzzes first answers on their own phone's mic for 10 seconds and everybody hears them; you press Right, or Wrong to pass the mic to the next buzz. It uses your camera keys, and it is not available while Auto host is on.
Tick Auto host in the host panel and the room runs itself: it starts each clock, shows the answers, moves on and ends the night. Press anything to step in. Mini-games are still yours to run.
Bingo numbers are called out loud on the big screen by a recorded caller, male or female, or switch the voice off.
Bingo for up to 1,000 players: every phone gets its own ticket that marks itself, the balls are on the big screen, and the winners are spotted for you. Open a games night, or press Bingo during a quiz. Quiz Master.
Bullseye, Colour Clash, Quick Maths and Tap Frenzy. Players sitting a game out now watch it live on their phones.
When you host on camera, players hear you straight away, with a big Mute host button and a reminder to turn their sound on.
